Approachable God

It's important to know that we serve an approachable God. God is perfect, holy, and powerful, and sometimes that can be intimidating. Because of this, many of us feel like we can't be transparent and vulnerable with Him. In this episode, I'll talk about God's desire for us to not only see Him as our master, but as our refuge as well.

Rest Is Not Laziness. Take a Break.

A couple of weeks ago I suffered from burnout. God has recently been pushing me to take my resting periods more seriously. We all need time to rest and regroup, and this time needs to be accompanied with fasting, prayer, meditation on the Word or all of the above. Resting is not laziness, it's necessary. A lot of us think we are pleasing God when we overwork, but in reality, pleasing God doesn't always look like "working hard." When He says "rest," be obedient and rest.

Divine Validation

I wish we could all proudly say the only validation we rely on is from God. Unfortunately for many of us, even after we have received His divine validation, we commonly live in doubt, low self-esteem and feelings of unworthiness. Today I address the person that has been too timid to do the things God has called him or her to do. It's time to quit being timid and buy in.

I noticed many of us are feeling lonely. Some of us lost our friends and significant others when we started to take Jesus seriously and just want to know why. Is it something we did, or is it the "light inside us" that people are always talking about? Today, let's discuss loneliness: what causes it and how can we cope with it?

Listen to This When You’re Feeling Envious

I've been sitting on this topic for weeks. Today let's talk about one of the roots of envy. No one ever likes to admit that they are envious of anyone. Envy is dangerous; it ruins lives and sometimes ends them. I pray this episode frees the envious person from that bondage, and helps you experience what it truly means to genuinely root for other people's success.

Let the Storm Finish (TUPJ4)

Two days after the Poetry Jam...there's still a lot I want to process. And int the meantime, I thought it was only right to revive this archived episode from Feb. 1st, 2021 that related to a message I spoke on, on Saturday. The message is titled "Let the Storm Finish". I pray that what you get our of this episode is a new outlook on how you should respond to the trials in your life.
