Did I Mess Up God’s Plan for My LIfe?

Being a Control Freak is Stressful

As a control freak, I have grown accustom to living a life filled with frustration and anxiety when life doesn't go as planned. Control freaks often make idols of efficiency and comfort, however, these oftentimes are not God's focus when working our His purpose. Let's unpack.

In John 17, Jesus prayed to the Father, requesting He help all Christians to be one as They are one. The Church is meant to be united in love and truth, and be a testament of the gospel to the world. However, many of the issues we bear inside our communities hinder this from happening. It's time we search our own hearts.

If you are anything like me, you've sometimes found yourself growing envious of unbelievers who don't deal with the convictions and sacrifices you deal with on a daily basis. You Can’t Sanctify Yourself

I see that a lot of us can get caught up trying to make ourselves holy for God's approval. Many of us are tortured by the pressure of trying to sanctify ourselves, as if we ever had the power to. One thing we all must acknowledge is that if we could purify ourselves, we wouldn't need a Savior.

You Can Do All Things Through Christ

Phil 4:13 is one of the most famous verses in the Bible. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Is this a verse meant to rally us about defeating foes and trampling over obstacles? Glory in Tribulation

Our suffering often tempts us to think God hates us, left us or disapproves of us. However, the Scripture tells us that even we who have peace with Him through Christ will experience tribulations. It's in these trying times we are given the opportunity to let God's glory shine through us.
