For many of us, we have been experiencing a period of time in life with a lack of excitement, newness, and passion. Sometimes this can be a result of us doing something wrong, however, these can also be times God Himself calls us to exist in. It's easy to lose sight of the purpose of it all while living a mundane life, but like every part of a Christian's life - it has purpose, and we must endure it.

When God calls us to a journey from mountain peak to mountain peak, we often are tempted with pride - exalting ourselves instead of giving the glory to God. Every good thing we have, has been given to us by God. However ,many of us rather boast about our accomplishments without ever mentioning God because we are more concerned with our self-image than anything else...

Christians have inherited a terrible rep in this generation. We are seen as hateful, judgmental, hypocritical, and more. Are we getting called all these names for Christ's sake, or could it be that we actually all have these faults that need to be acknowledged and corrected. Additionally, how should a Christian navigate a generation where disagreeing has become synonymous with hatred?

In life, God can call us to journey through the mountain peaks or the valleys, and each environment needs a different strategy for endurance. In the valley especially, self-pity is a very present and UNDERRATED enemy. Getting trapped in this pit will only slow you down and distance you from God. It's time we give this enemy the attention it needs to be defeated.

On part 2 of "Overcoming Sexual Sins", I talk about a common tactic the devil would use to tempt me into sexual sin: making it seem like he was my friend. Yeah, I know that sounds silly - who would ever believe satan is anyone's friend. However, in hard times, the enemy can sometimes approach you as an angel of light, as your friend, your solace, your provider of pleasure. And if we aren't careful, we can be deceived to the point of death.

#askchurchboy: I have doubts on my salvation...how do I know if I am truly saved?
Today I answer what it means, and looks like to truly be saved. As elementary as this topic may be for some, it is the most important message that I could ever preach on - as being sure of salvation is the most important thing in all of our lives! 
I honestly don't preach about this enough. But the key takeaway from this message is that we are saved by faith in Jesus Christ. He has paid the price, washing away our sins, and when we surrender our lives to Him and make Him our Lord, we secure salvation and go through a real transformation. I wish this experience on every human, I pray that as you listen to this message the Holy Spirit convicts you to be sure of your salvation. This episode will either make some feel more comfort or make some feel more discomfort - either way, GOOD. Love you all, enjoy!

Just because God has called you to something doesn't mean you won't face opposition. In fact, 9/10 you should expect opposition, as satan works hard everyday to get you to doubt God by sending you messages and circumstances that contrast everything God has told you. In these times it's important for us to stick to God's word, know who we are, hold the line.
